Are blogs dead?

Well, this one isn't (not yet). Although I do wonder if anyone's interested in what we have to say if it's going to take more than 140 characters. But I'm going to assume there's at least one interested party out there (hi Mom!). So...what have we been up to?

We discovered the best chocolate cake recipe EVER--Guinness Chocolate Cake.
We received a wonderful visit from Ronda.
We spent a lovely weekend in Callicoon, NY (AKA small town USA) with Patrick and Leila
We enjoyed the New York and Shanghai Symphonies in Central Park
We hit up the Red Hook Ball Fields for some amazing lukewarm ceviche, elote, and pupusas from food trucks--and though we anticipated stomach issues (see picture above), we survived
We showed Damon and Amy around town
We went to Toronto to see Maleeha, Yousaf and their family and friends
We went to Salt Lake City to see Nicole get married!
I got to spend a week in Brasilia and Rio with my family.

Whew! And there's more, but this will have to suffice for now. What else? Mark's still working hard for The Man, as he says, and I'm staying busy with school + my internship + volunteering and school activities. We are trying to soak up the fall weather (which was unseasonably warm today) as we know that the long, cold, hard winter is around the corner. And we're really looking forward to being home for the holidays this year! We'll try to update again before then :)
